Cookies and storage

Last updated 8 October 2026

The public Edda website is designed to work without advertising cookies, analytics trackers or a persistent chat history.

What these technologies do

Cookies are small files a website can store in your browser. Local storage and session storage are other ways to keep information on your device. Information in these technologies can relate to you or your device. Separately, serving a page involves sending technical information such as your IP address to the website's hosting service.

What this website uses

We do not set advertising or analytics cookies on the public Edda pages. We do not use the Whitehay Carolina chat widget, create a chat session identifier or save a chat transcript on withedda.com. The contact form does not need a browser cookie to send your enquiry.

Interactive examples keep their display state in the current page while you use them. The 3D company model, images, videos, scripts and fonts are served as website assets. Your browser may cache those files to load them more efficiently. These examples do not submit the fictional company records or carry out the actions they illustrate.

The website and its infrastructure process technical requests to deliver content and protect against misuse. The contact form uses a temporary server-side IP rate limit with a ten-minute window; this is not stored on your device. Our privacy policy explains the related personal information.

Other sites and restricted tools

This notice covers the public Edda website. Following a link to Whitehay or another external site takes you to that site's own cookie and privacy practices. Restricted staff administration tools are separate from public browsing and may use an authentication cookie when an authorised person signs in.

Your choices

You can block or clear cookies, site data and cached files through your browser settings. Clearing cached files may make the next visit load more slowly. If you have visited an older version of the site, clearing its site data will also remove any browser storage that version left behind.

If we introduce optional storage or tracking that requires your permission, we will explain it and ask before activating it. We will update this notice when the site's use of these technologies changes.

Questions about the site's cookies or storage can be sent to sales@withedda.com.
